About the Owner

Hi, my name is Anna Alexis and I am the owner and head chef of Anna’s Hot Plates Cuisine.

I have always wanted to open my own business because of my passion for cooking. Nonetheless, since the effects of the 2020 pandemic I realized catered food was a major necessity. The circumstances have been so impactful that even I found myself consistently ordering catered food for me and my family. I then decided to open my own company, because I love serving others.

Background

Growing up as a young child in my father’s household I was always interested in watching him cook Haitian food. I would stand side by side with my father prepping and preparing every Haitian dish. One of my favorite dishes that my father cooked was legume. Not only did I enjoy this dish, but I also learned to cook it just as good as my father. Fun fact, legume is a dish that is highly favored by Anna’s Hot Plates Cuisine customers. My father filled me with tons of knowledge on how to prepare every Haitian dish he made. To me my father was a proficient chef, and no one could amount to his work. Because of my father I came to realize how passionate I am about cooking. Therefore, I took the opportunity to open my own Catering business named Anna’s Hot Plates Cuisine, LLC. In my catering business we serve Haitian meals available for everyone to enjoy. The purpose of having a Haitian cuisine business is to ignite our customers’ Island taste buds. We don’t only serve Haitian food, but we also offer other select cultured goodies. Certified in the culinary arts, I am able to mix my own style into other types of cusine.

My business is ministry for me and I am blessed to have five beautiful children who serve right by my side. We’re able to minister to others through good conversation and tasty cuisine. Through all this I am carrying on my father’s legacy.
